I hope everyone has been able to enjoy this beautiful spring weather we’ve been having. I know I am!
Yesterday I registered for my first two races this summer. I will be doing the Uff Da 5 K on May 19 and the Gopher to Badger half marathon on August 11. I plan to add a couple of 10 K races to my schedule as part of my half marathon training but I haven’t decided which ones yet. It feels really good to finally commit to a couple of races and have some goals to work for now.
So what races are the rest of you doing? What are your training goals for the summer?

Races: Random 5k's and 10k's, Bix 7 (Davenport, Iowa), Leading Ladies Marathon (South Dakota), probably Gopher to Badger half, TC 10-miler, and the Nike Women's Marathon (San Francisco, my TNT event!).
I'm looking for some fun summertime 5k's and 10k's. I didn't do ANY last summer, so I am open for suggestions and willing to travel a bit.

My training goal for the summer is fairly basic - I have lots of trouble running over the summer. I hate heat and my body doesn't deal well with it so I have a lot of trouble consistantly running through a summer. One of the plans is to start doing some trail runs to try and keep things interesting and not as hot (shade and lack of pavement should be good, right?)
There a race at home (Tall Timber Days 5 and 10K in Grand Rapids) that I'd love to go home and be in awesome shape and kick some ass on, so that's a goal for the summer, I suppose :) It requires me keeping my awesome shape from Grandma's so that's some motivation for summer running.
